my precious you......

Based on the novel Push, by Sapphire, this story is about Claireece Precious Jones, a morbidly obese black teen from a Welfare home. Precious has been abused her entire life, by both her father and her mother. He father’s abuse was sexual. Because of his rapes, Precious has two children by him.

Precious is practically illiterate, yet in her inner city Harlem school, she’s considered a good student because she’s quiet and rarely causes any trouble. Her life changes, however, when school officials discover that she’s pregnant and is subsequently kicked out of school. Her only option is to attend an alternative school.
The alternative class is taught by Ms. Rain, who cares deeply about her students. Once Precious learns to trust and believe in Ms. Rain, she begins to believe in herself and starts to turn her life around.

Again…this is a story which represents students out there who involve in any problem about their life. As a teacher, we should be alert about their problems because some of them might be a sexual victim as Precious. We need to know their background so that it’s easy for us to contact their family if anything happened.

...what goes around comes around...

have you ever heard this quotation???

it means that you might face the same problem as what you did to others...
this is the tittle for my position paper...

based on short story 'A Great Injustice'...this quotation best describe Ah Seng or the father's action...
as well as we knows...his daughter Ah Nya are pregnant before get married and been abandon by her boyfriend....

Ah Seng did the same thing before he married Ah Soh...
what goes around comes around but not to the same people....it goes to people around us and they need to face it because of our fault...

so...before doing something..we should think about the consequences of it  and how it could be a trouble for people aoround us...

FINDING FORRESTER

Finding forester…seriously and honestly, I don’t really enjoy the story…maybe because of how slow it’s moving on from one part to another part…this movie was about a young guy with extraordinary skills in writing and basketball. No one appreciate his skills for some reasons such as skin color.

But one day he finds an old man which is his favorite author…they start a new friendship and they break the generation gap while working together. The old man helps the young guy to build and resurrect his emotions and confidence.

What I learn from this movie is that, as a teacher we should be more open towards our students…so… they know that we always there if they need help and support to success and perform well……….

P.R.I.N.C.I.P.A.L

This story is about Joe Clark… who becomes the principal of a destitute New Jersey high school plagued with violence, drugs, and abysmal academic performance. Clark is given the daunting task of bringing student's test scores up to the minimum acceptable level within one school year or the school will be taken over by the state.

Clark is fiercely strict and demanding towards both his students and teachers. This makes him the target of countless parents, board members, civil servants, and other teachers determined to bring him and his radical new style down.

But for me… even he stick with his opinion...but...he still consider his students favor..for example, when he said that every student has to memorize the school song or they will be suspended...they change the rhythm...but...he love it when he listen to the new genre of the song which is more catchy and enjoyable...he will be the first to face all the problems in the school...important element in order to be a good teacher..

SPEEL IT RIGHT

Akeelah Anderson is a precocious 11-year-old girl from south Los Angeles with a gift for spelling. Even she is not really good in other subjects, she works well with words. Despite the objections of her mother Tanya, Akeelah enters various spelling contests, for which she is tutored by the forthright Dr. Larabee. Akeelah's aptitude earns her an opportunity to compete for a spot in the Scripps National Spelling Bee and in turn unites her neighbors who witness the courage and inspiration of one amazing little girl. Besides that she also makes a good friend with other contestants except for Dylan...
The most interesting part while watching this movie is during the Scripps National Spelling Bee competition. All of us enjoy the moment as we were sitting and watching the competition live. Great movie!!!!!!!!!
This movie was actually dedicated for anyone who had a favorite subject in school. As a teacher, we should be alert that students come with different level and interest. We have to encourage and support them so that they will be more confidence while performing the ability that they have.

What a wonderful movie…can we be a good teacher as RON CLARK???? Think about it…

At first he been ignored by everyone…but when he got the chance to teacher…he gives his best…
Work with people that considers as ‘losers’ by others doesn’t mean he should stop and quit from teaching. For him, the ‘losers’  with lowest grades, most unruly and less achieving is a way to challenge his teaching skill. When other called the students as ‘losers’, he sees potential in every child and not give up on them…his approaches, energy and steps produce a wonderful outcome…

He brings out the students strengths…the most important is he successfully makes them aware of their own self worth.

Yes…as a teacher we are supposed to give more than education…it is all about life…create a positive view and perception towards life…
